PESHAWAR —The Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) has shown severe concerns over threats to Jamshed Bhagwan, senior journalist and bureau chief of Express News, by a political party official.
While showing solidarity with Jamshed, President Nasir Hussain and General Secretary Imran Yousafzai said that traditionally journalists and politicians enjoy cordial relations. However, it is quite unfortunate that some elements were trying to sabotage bilateral ties.
The journalist leaders stated that the local journalist community stood united and committed to supporting Jamshed in this critical situation.
In July 2014, the residence of Jamshed was attacked with an explosive device for the third time in four months.
