Ishaq Chaudhry elected chairman of local APNEC unopposed
Muhammad Ishaq Chaudhry has been elected chairman of the local All Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation unopposed. Imran Farooq and Sohail Imran Malik were also elected to key positions without any opposition.

ISLAMABAD – Muhammad Ishaq Chaudhry (pictured) and Imran Farooq were elected unopposed as the chairman and general-secretary respectively of the local All Pakistan Newspaper Employees Confederation (APNEC) on Saturday.

Sohail Imran Malik was also elected unopposed as the finance secretary.

The election committee announced that apart from the three successful candidates, no other nominations were received until the deadline of November 16 evening.

Chairman of the committee Qurban Satti greeted the new office-bearers, as did Tariq Chaudhry, President of National Press Club, Secretary General Shakeel Anjum, and Mubarak Zeb Khan, President of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ).
