Gharida quits Geo, joins Samaa

ISLAMABAD: Geo TV newsreader Gharida Farooqi has joined Samaa as Pakistan’s electronic media continues to see popular faces hop from one channel to the other.

She arrived at Samaa a few days ago and is likely to go on air soon, sources tell JournalismPakistan.com.

Gharida’s former colleague Sana Mirza recently signed up for Voice of America while also continuing with Geo.

This summer several anchors have switched channels, among them Syed Talat Hussain, Fahad Hussain, Asma Shirazi, Ferheea Idrees, Dr. Shahid Masood, Kamran Shahid and Mubashar Lucqman.
