Geo wins Urdu News Channel of the Year Award

LONDON - Geo News has been declared the ‘Urdu News Channel of the Year 2018’ at the 5th annual Asian Viewers Television Awards (AVTA).

The News reported that two other private Pakistani TV channels were in the run for the award, but Geo received overwhelming support from voters.

AVTA celebrates talent from the UK Asian television industry. Around 300 people attended the awards ceremony at the Hilton.

The awards are voted by the viewers who choose the top channels, shows, and celebrities in their respective categories.

Baseem Baig Chagtai, Business Unit Head, International Division of Geo TV Network received the award.
