PESHAWAR: Senior journalist and author Amjad Aziz Malik has joined Urdu Daily Express as its Resident Editor in Peshawar.
Malik, previously served as Deputy Bureau Chief and Senior Assignment Editor at Geo TV which he quit last December after 11 years with the channel. He brings valuable experience to the paper. A widely travelled journalist, he has authored eight books on sports, the latest one being 'Peshawar sey Sochi barista Istanbul'.
In April last year, Malik became the first Pakistani to be elected to the Executive Committee of the International Sports Journalists Association (AIPS).
During his career, he has worked for monthly Akhbar e Watan and daily newspapers Jidat, Jang, Mashriq and Pakistan. For 10 years, he was a newscaster at Pakistan Television presenting local and national bulletins.
Malik is also a sports commentator.
