ISLAMABAD: BOL Television that is yet to go on air has signed up Waseem Badami as executive vice president and senior anchor.
The prominent face of ARY News Television, Waseem conducted the program 11th Hour with Waseem Badami.
The BOL Group said Waseem is loved by viewers for giving analysis that is thorough and well-reasoned as well as taking all angles into consideration. "Mr Badami's news shows during the recent events in Pakistan were watched by millions of viewers all over the country," the group said on its website.
The website quoted Waseem as saying “The decision to join BOL represents the beginning of a new chapter in my life but my relationship with my viewers will not change. In fact, it only gets stronger from here.”
“BOL is out to collect the Shaheens in Pakistan’s journalism industry,” said BOL Chairman and CEO Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh. “BOL will be the platform for all Shaheens to fly even higher than before.”
Waseem began his journalistic career with ARY in 2006.
