Asim Naseer re-elected EMRA President
Asim Naseer was re-elected as President of the Electronic Media Reporters Association in Lahore. The elections saw a significant victory over his opponent, Raza Khan Kharal.

LAHORE: The Professional Panel swept the 2014 elections of Electronic Media Reporters Association (EMRA), Lahore with Asim Naseer being re-elected as President for another term.

The elections were held at the EMRA Media Centre near Punjab Stadium. Asim of Geo News polled 159 votes to defeat his rival Raza Khan Kharal (City 42) from the Democratic Panel who got 92 votes.

Nadeem Chaudhry (Express News) was elected the Secretary outvoting his opponent Inamullah Khan (Samaa News) 133-115.

Others elected were Hasham Yousaf (Waqt News - Vice President, 116 votes) and Shakeel Malik (KTN-Finance Secretary, 143 votes).
