Asad Malik of Dawn elected president Islamabad High Court Journalists Association

ISLAMABAD – Asad Malik (pictured) of Dawn was elected the president of the Islamabad High Court Journalists Association (IHCJA) on Wednesday.

The polling was held in the press room of IHC while the results were announced in Quaid-e-Azam Hall.

According to the notification issued by the election committee, Malik (Dawn) defeated Ehtisham Kayani (Channel 24) while Fiaz Mehmood (92 News TV) became the general secretary.

Malik Najeeb (Jehan Pakistan) was elected as the finance secretary. Haseeb Ahmed (GNN) and Bilal Sheikh (BOL) became the senior vice president and vice president respectively.

Waqar Abbasi (Nawa-i-Waqt) and Kanwal Gondal (Din) got elected as joint secretary.

Awais Yousafzai (Geo), Amir Abbasi (Dunya TV), Imran Mansab Khan (PTV) and Rizwan Qazi (Dunya) were elected as members of the governing body.
