Imran Aslam now also to head Jang Group
Imran Aslam, previously president of Geo TV Network since 2002, has been appointed as Group President of Jang Group and Geo TV Network. He was instrumental in launching multiple channels under the Geo umbrella.

ISLAMABAD: Imran Aslam, who helped launch The News and Geo TV has been promoted as Group President Jang Group and Geo TV Network.

He had been the president of Geo TV Network, a position he held since 2002. His tenure at The News saw him serve the paper as Chief News Editor, Coordinating Editor, Editor and Senior Editor.

The News reported Sunday that he later successfully made the transition to the electronic media with Geo. The paper said he has been involved in virtually every strategic and content-related facet of the channel.

During his tenure as president Geo Network launched Geo News, Geo Entertainment, Geo Super, AAG, Geo Kahani and Geo Tez.
