Journalist gunned down in Karak
Ayub Khattak, a journalist for a local Urdu daily, was murdered in Karak on Friday evening. He is the ninth journalist killed in Pakistan this year.

KARAK: Journalist Ayub Khattak was gunned down in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.

Reports say, the attackers were on motorcycle. The incident occurred in Warana area, Takhti Nasrati at around 6:30pm. Khattak worked for a local Urdu daily.

A police official confirmed the murder and said gunmen opened fire on the journalist outside his house and fled.

Khattak is the 9th journalist to be killed in Pakistan this year.
