Khan and his journalist wife Reham Khan parted ways last month after just 10 months of marriage.

The protesting journalists demanded an apology from Khan and warned of more protests if he did not do so.

The protest was organized by the Khyber Union of Journalists. The union leaders called for Khan to take back his words.
