Knight-Bagehot Fellowship: Study business and economics at Columbia University
The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship program provides a unique opportunity for mid-career journalists to study business and economics. It offers certificates and a Master's degree in journalism.

The Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism provides mid-career journalists with the unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge in business, economics, and finance, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the business of journalism. This yearlong, full-time program offers three academic tracks: two leading to a certificate in economics and business journalism and one culminating in a Master of Arts degree in journalism.

The fellowship accepts up to ten fellows annually, covering their tuition fees and providing a stipend to help with living expenses. Eligible applicants should have a minimum of four years of experience in business journalism and hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university. International journalists are encouraged to apply.
