LAHORE - PEMRA's Council of Complaints, Lahore has directed cable operators to stop indecent and offensive advertisements of hakeems and black magic etc on cable television networks.
The directive was issued while hearing of a complaint of Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, referred to PEMRA by the Lahore High Court. The decision was taken at the 61st meeting of the Council which was chaired by Dr Mehdi Hassan.
Others who attended the meeting were Ms Fauzia Viqar, Dr Sughra Sadaf, Dr Mubashar Nadeem, Dr Lubna Zaheer, Iftikhar Ahmad Tarar, and Dr M. Safdar Rehman (RGM/Secretary CoCs).
