PFUJ delegation welcomes Faizullah
A PFUJ delegation welcomed Faizullah Khan, an ARY News reporter recently released by Afghan authorities. The event took place at Torkham, attended by Faizullah's family and journalists.

ISLAMABAD: A delegation led by PFUJ President Rana M. Azeem on Monday welcomed ARY News reporter Faizullah Khan who has been freed by Afghanistan authorities.

The delegation received Faizullah at Torkham where an Afghan representative handed him over to Pakistani political agent Shahab Shah. Also present on the occasion were the journalist's wife and children. He was profusely garlanded and showered with flower petals.

Faizullah thanked the foreign office, International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and other local and international organizations for making efforts for his release.

Faizullah was sentenced to four years in prison by a court in Jalalabad in July for entering Afghanistan without valid documents. He was detained earlier in April.
