LAHORE – An anchor of 92 News Television, Irza Khan was injured after falling from a crane Saturday while covering Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf rally in Lahore.
The channel said she was reporting from the crane’s platform at Charing Cross when she lost her balance and fell. However, Samaa TV reported she fainted and fell because of the hot weather.
The channel said she sustained head and arm injuries. She could not be given first aid at the scene because of unavailability of rescue and ambulance services.
She was taken to the hospital by the channel’s field staff. However, crucial time was lost after they got stuck in the rally and could not easily make their way out.
