LHC issues notice to Dawn journalist Cyril Almeida
The Lahore High Court has issued a notice to journalist Cyril Almeida for failing to appear in a treason case involving former Prime Ministers. The case revolves around an interview in which Sharif allegedly admitted terrorists involved in 26/11 were Pakistani.

ISLAMABAD - The Lahore High Court has issued a notice to Dawn journalist Cyril Almeida in the case of treason against former Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. According to Dunya News, a notice was issued to both Almeida and Sharif. They had failed to appear before a three-member bench. The case is about Sharif’s interview to Almeida in which he reportedly admitted that the terrorists who participated in 26/11 were Pakistanis. The case also impugns Abbasi. He allegedly disclosed minutes of the National Security Council’s meeting to Nawaz. On Abbasi’s request, the case was deferred until September 10.
