Jasmeen on Abb Takk soon
Jasmeen Manzoor is returning to television on Abb Takk after her departure from Samaa. Her new show, Tonight with Jasmeen, will launch in November.

ISLAMABAD: After quitting Samaa in July, anchor Jasmeen Manzoor is set to return to the screen, this time on Abb Takk Television.

She made the announcement on Twitter Monday night. “Dear friends program Tonight with Jasmeen coming soon! More truth and nothing but the truth!,” she said.

According to an Abb Takk source her program will go on air in November.

Jasmeen left Samaa after her employers refused to extend support following threats to her life because of her work.

Quoting law enforcement agencies she said in a blog post in August the threats to her were from MQM and explained why her life is in danger.

“I have spent 15 years a journalist and have been doing current affairs shows on private news TV channels of Pakistan but this is the first time, according to law enforcement agencies, I and my family are under serious life threats,” she wrote.

“Hunt and target a woman. Not only will this make international headlines but will also tell the world that we are hostage to handful of terrorists …these terrorists control our destinies.”
