Five members of Maryam Nawaz's media cell arrested
Five individuals associated with Maryam Nawaz's media cell have been arrested in Lahore due to a campaign against Pakistan's army and judiciary. The arrests follow the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court, with more members of the cell expected to be apprehended soon.

ISLAMABAD - Five members of ruling PML-N’s ‘strategic media cell’ reportedly run by Maryam Nawaz, daughter of ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were arrested in Lahore for launching a social media campaign against the army and the judiciary.

Online news agency said Tuesday the cell was shifted to Dubai after the Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualified Nawaz Sharif from holding office following an extensive corruption probe.

This media cell had allegedly run an organized mudslinging campaign against the army and the judiciary.

The five arrested confessed to their ‘crime’, Online said, adding that 26 other members of the cell had been identified and would be arrested soon.
