LAHORE: Dunya Television has fired 12 employees from their Lahore office reportedly to make way for new people signed up on hefty packages. Among those sacked are said to be assistant producers, translators and others.
It is being said there could also be layoffs at the channel’s newspaper Daily Dunya.
Earlier in May, the newspaper’s management booted out four reporters in Islamabad without citing any reason.
Those sacking came just four months after the paper’s Islamabad launch.
