PEMRA forms committee to monitor Ramzan transmission
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has established a committee to oversee Ramzan transmissions on TV. This initiative follows the directives from the Islamabad High Court.

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has constituted a four-member committee to monitor Ramzan transmission on all television channels.

This step was taken on the directives of Islamabad High Court (IHC), the regulator said in a media release Friday.

The committee will ensure if Ramzan guidelines issued to all satellite TV channels were being followed or not.

Any violations would be dealt with according to the law.
