Khawar Ghumman quits Dunya TV, joins ARY

ISLAMABAD—Prominent journalist Khawar Ghumman has resigned from Dunya TV and joined ARY News as its Islamabad bureau chief and political analyst.

Salman Iqbal, President & CEO of ARY Digital, announced the appointment in a tweet. "I am pleased to announce that Senior Journalist Khawar Ghumman has joined ARY News as Bureau Chief Isb & Political Analyst. I Welcome him to ARY Family."

Ghumman also took to Twitter and stated: "I have resigned from Dunya TV. During my four-year stay at the organization, Chairman Dunya Group Mian Amir Mehmood Sb and Group MD Navid Kashif had always been of great support with complete editorial independence, which I thoroughly enjoyed and used to the maximum limits."

"Meanwhile, I got the opportunity to work with legendary figures like Ayaz Amir, Haroon Rashid, Salman Ghani, Dr Hassan Askari Sb and Shami Sb as part of Think Tank program."

He added: "President Dunya Media Group Kamran Khan always appreciated my good work. As Bureau Chief, Dunya TV, I had the honor to lead probably one of the best reporting teams in the town. I have joined ARY TV and hope to continue my journalistic career with the same zeal and zest to face new challenges. Need your constant prayers."

Ghumman, who at one time worked as a special correspondent with Dawn newspaper in Islamabad, had joined Dunya TV in June 2018.
