Samaa appoints Faryal Arif as its first female bureau chief
Faryal Arif has been appointed as Samaa Television's first female bureau chief in Karachi. This appointment highlights the channel's commitment to gender equality in media.

KARACHI - Samaa Television has appointed Faryal Arif as its first female bureau chief in Karachi in what the channel says is a step towards promoting gender equality and women empowerment.

Faryal, associated with Samaa since its launch, has proven to be worthy of this challenging media position, her organization said.

“It’s an honor to be appointed as the first female bureau chief of Samaa and I am very thankful to the management for showing confidence in my work,” Samaa.tv quoted her as saying.

Faryal was honored with an award for her work in journalism by Women Media Center Pakistan in March last year.
