Malick to take over at PTV soon

ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Malick is to take over as the managing director of state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) soon.

A senior journalist, Malick has bid farewell to Dunya TV where he hosted the program Dunya@8 with Malick.

In a journalistic career spanning over two decades, he held top editorial positions in both print and electronic media.  Before joining Dunya, he was the Resident Editor at The News, Islamabad.

According to PTV website www.ptv.com.pk, "the managing director is duly appointed by the Government of Pakistan and approved by the Board of Directors. He is the administrative and executive Head of the corporation. He is the competent authority to implement rules for the corporation and its employees."

Mustafa Kamal is the acting managing director of PTV.
