Dr Syed Wahidur Rahman, also known as Yasir Rizvi, was murdered in Karachi while working at the Mass Communication Department of Karachi University. His death has sparked concerns regarding the safety of educators.
ISLAMABAD: A journalist-turned-professor Dr Syed Wahidur Rahman, also known as Yasir Rizvi, was shot dead in Karachi Wednesday by unidentified assailants.

A KU professor who requested anonymity told Dawn.com that Dr Rahman had been working as a journalist for the past 15 years and was relatively a new staffer at the varsity.
