Asma for DawnNews
Asma Shirazi, a well-known talk show host, is set to join DawnNews. She previously hosted 'Faisla Aap Kaa' on Samaa TV and worked at other channels.

ISLAMABAD: Samaa TV’s talk show host Asma Shirazi will join DawnNews soon, sources at both channels tell JournalismPakistan.com.

 

She has won a 10pm slot, which earlier reports said, was being negotiated with Nadeem Malik of Aaj TV.  Malik is now unlikely to join the channel.

 

Asma, who hosts the program Faisla Aap Kaa had joined Samaa in July 2010. She also worked for Geo and ARY channels.

 

In July DawnNews hired eight Samaa staffers including their Bureau Chief Iftikhar Shirazi.

KEY POINTS:

  • Asma Shirazi will join DawnNews from Samaa TV.
  • She has secured a 10pm slot on the network.
  • Nadeem Malik was previously in negotiations for the same slot.
  • Asma joined Samaa TV in July 2010 and has worked with Geo and ARY as well.
  • DawnNews recently hired several staff from Samaa, including Iftikhar Shirazi.
