Protesters outside BOL offices demand outstanding wages
Journalists gathered outside BOL News offices to protest over unpaid wages and layoffs. Led by Pervaiz Shaukat, they called out management's failures.

ISLAMABAD – Journalists on Friday protested the layoffs at BOL News and demanded payment of wages and other outstanding dues.

Pervaiz Shaukat, President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (Barna) led the protest in collaboration with the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (Barna).

The protesters that also included affected BOL employees, had gathered in front of the news organization’s offices.

They chanted slogans against the callousness of the BOL management and termed Sami Ibrahim, President and Managing Director, an economic murderer of employees.

An insider tells JournalismPakistan.com that at least two months of wages remain outstanding. He however said that the management had promised to pay off the salaries before Eid-ul-Fitr.
