Finance Minister seeks action against Shahid Masood
Ishaq Dar has filed a complaint against Dr. Shahid Masood over alleged defamatory remarks. PEMRA has referred the case to its Council of Complaints for further action.

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), acting on a complaint by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar (pictured) against ARY News analyst Dr. Shahid Masood for running a defamatory program, has referred the case to its Council of Complaints.

In the complaint filed through his legal counsel, the minister alleges Dr. Masood conducted the program with malafide and ulterior motive of attacking his integrity and character and thereby damaging his reputation, both domestically and internationally.

The complaint says Dr. Masood's statements were utterly false and fabricated. Action has been demanded against the analyst and the television channel.
