PEMRA acts on Dr. Shahid Masood's complaint

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Sunday took notice of a complaint by prominent television analyst Dr Shahid Masood against Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed who allegedly threatened him in a speech aired by several television channels.

PEMRA said the complaint has been referred to its Council of Complaints for further action. Dr, Masood, now with ARY News Television said the remarks hurt his feelings.

The authority noted the comments went on air for lack of editorial control and time-delay systems at certain channels.

In his complaint Dr Masood said, the comments were an attempt to make fun of him and had damaged his reputation.
