ISLAMABAD—The transmission of BOL News TV was blocked for several hours Sunday in different areas of the country, reportedly under the instructions of regulator PEMRA.
According to BOL, the regulator ordered the cable operators to block the transmission.
In many areas, including Shikarpur, Jhang, Sargodha, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Khushab, and adjoining locations, there was no BOL.
In a tweet, TV anchorperson Gharidah Farooqi, stated: "Broadcasting of BOL TV was suspended due to violation of Pemra's orders last night."
BOL News telecast PTI Chairman Imran Khan's speech in Rawalpindi with a three-minute time delay as permitted by the regulator.
