BOL to make significant impact on media industry, says NBC

ISLAMABAD: Nasir Baig Chughtai, who recently joined BOL News Television says the upcoming network will make a significant impact on the media industry.

 

BOL on Thursday formally announced that Baig has joined them as Senior Executive Vice President - news first reported by JournalismPakistan.com on November 20.

 

Baig, popularly known by his initials NBC, feels BOL holds a lot of promise. "It is different from other media houses and through its solid professionalism, state-of-the-art systems and superior lifestyle offered to employees, it will leave a significant impact on the media industry," he was quoted by his bolnetwork.com as saying.

 

The respected Nasir Baig Chughtai joined the Jang Group in the 1980s and rose to acquire a number of senior positions including joint news editor, news editor, chief news editor, and deputy editor of the daily Jang. He was also the founder and news editor of the daily Urdu News, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.



He is also a literature expert and has translated various works of English and French classical writers which have been published with the weekly, Akhbar-e-Jahan, BOL said in a Press Release.



On the occassion of his joining the network, BOL’s Chairman and CEO Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh said: "BOL will bring all Shaheens together on a single platform to realize the promise of bringing about a revolution in Pakistan’s media industry.”
