PEMRA receives PTI complaint, refers it to council
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has taken a complaint from PTI regarding media coverage of Imran Khan's marriage. This issue will be addressed in an upcoming council meeting.

ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has referred to its council a complaint filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf against some television channels that aired news about Imran Khan's third marriage.

A PTI delegation headed by Iftikhar Durrani, who heads the party's Central Media Department met PEMRA Chairman Absar Alam (pictured), and formally handed over the complaint to him on behalf of PTI chief Imran Khan.

The PEMRA Council of Complaints is due to take up the complaint in its meeting in Islamabad scheduled for July 15.

Despite denials by PTI, the TV channels continued to air news on Tuesday about the marriage.
