ARY News appoints Jahanzaib Ali as Washington Bureau Chief

ISLAMABAD: ARY News Television has appointed Jahanzaib Ali as its Bureau Chief in Washington D.C, United States.

Previously based in Islamabad as a Senior Correspondent, he has been with the channel for almost eight years in two separate stints. Starting his career with Pakistan Press International (PPI) news agency in Islamabad in 2001, Jahanzaib showed tremendous commitment and journalistic potential that saw him cover major national and international events.

In 2005, he switched to electronic media, joining ARY News Islamabad Bureau as a Correspondent. He quickly made his mark in what was an unfamiliar territory for him and a challenge back then.

At ARY he excelled in reporting of all kinds where he even covered sports, which early on in his career was his specialty.

However, in 2010 he took a job at Waqt TV, becoming their Special Correspondent in Washington DC.  The following year he returned to join ARY News Islamabad Bureau again, this time as Senior Correspondent.

Jahanzaib told JournalismPakistan.com he was looking forward to reporting extensively out of Washington DC.
