Veteran Dawn sports journalist Abdul Majid Khan passes away
Abdul Majid Khan, a veteran sports journalist with Dawn, passed away in Karachi. He was an esteemed figure in the journalism community, known for his integrity.

KARACHI – Veteran sports journalist Abdul Majid Khan who served Dawn for many years during his career, passed away in Karachi on Thursday.

Majid was one of Pakistan’s most respected journalists known for his unbiased and balanced reporting.

He was also a senior member of the Karachi Press Club and had retired from Dawn several years ago.

The news of his death shocked everyone who knew him. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan tweeted: “Saddened to learn of the death of Sports Editor Dawn, Majid Khan tonight in Karachi. He was a dedicated journalist with a passion for the game. My prayers go to his family.”

Shahid Hashmi, a sports journalists with ARY News, said in a tweet that Majid Khan was a “very polite and accommodating sports journalist who always attended events and was unbiased in his reports for Dawn.”

His namaz-in-janaza was to be offered on Friday at Bilal Masjid, Block 4, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
