Trial transmission of PTV Parliament starts

PTV Parliament has begun its trial transmission, focusing on live broadcasts of parliamentary proceedings and committee meetings. The initiative aims to improve public access to the performance of elected representatives.

ISLAMABAD – PTV Parliament, a channel that will broadcast parliamentary proceedings live, was launched at a ceremony at the Pakistan Television offices.

Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq and Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb inaugurated the channel’s trial transmission.

The new channel will also cover meetings of the standing committees.

Marriyum said that the channel would help people evaluate the performance of their elected representatives.
