Six years on, journalist Munir Shakir's killers untraced
Journalist Munir Shakir was murdered six years ago, yet his killers remain unidentified. His family commemorated his death anniversary in Khuzdar.

QUETTA – Six years after his murder in Khuzdar (Balochistan), the family of journalist Munir Shakir still awaits justice.

His sixth death anniversary was observed in Khuzdar Monday.

He was a former finance secretary of the local press club, and an active social worker.

Unidentified gunmen shot him dead as he headed to Khuzdar town on his motorbike on August 14, 2011.

He worked for a Balochi TV channel Sabzbagh and Online news agency.

Journalists in the province say Shakir’s killers remain untraced and there is no hope of justice being delivered.
