PFUJ condemns roughing up of voicepk.net journalists by police
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists has condemned police violence against voicepk.net journalists. Officials demand respect for media and actions against the police.

LAHORE—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has strongly condemned the manhandling of two journalists representing voicepk.net who went to Model Town Police Station seeking confirmation of DJ Butt’s arrest.

PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi condemned the uncalled for police behavior who intimidated and manhandled the two journalists and forced them to delete the footage and material from their devices.

The union leaders called upon the Punjab government to respect journalists and take stern action against the police officials.

The voicepk.net had assigned the reporters to cover DJ Butt’s arrest.
