After abandoning BOL, Asma Shirazi joins 92 News
Asma Shirazi has officially joined 92 News as a senior anchorperson following her departure from BOL News. She expressed her satisfaction with the channel's swift progress and support for her team.

ISLAMABAD: Prominent journalist Asma Shirazi joined 92 News Television Tuesday as senior anchorperson and editor current affairs where she will go on air soon.
 
She recently resigned from upcoming BOL News after the channel's parent company Axact was allegedly found involved in selling fake degrees.
 
Talking to 92 News, she said that she is happy to have joined the channel as it has made significant progress in a short span of time. “The 92 News management has assured me to recruit my team members too and some other journalists who had joined BOL News,” she said.
 
Shirazi is recipient of 2014 Peter Mackler Award for Courageous and Ethical Journalism. She started her career in 2002 from Pakistan Television.
 
She reported on conflicts that include the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war, Taliban violence on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in 2009 and General Pervez Musharraf's 2007 state of emergency.
 
Shirazi also hosted two popular television talk shows, including one on parliamentary affairs that Musharraf banned when he clamped down on independent news coverage.
