Journalist Khalid Khattak to speak at Global Investigative Journalism Conference
Khalid Khattak, a journalist with The News, is set to speak on data journalism at the GIJC '17 in Johannesburg. The conference gathers over 1,200 journalists from around the world.

ISLAMABAD - The News journalist Khalid Khattak will be speaking on data journalism at the Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC '17) which opened in Johannesburg (South Africa) on Thursday.

His first session will be on ‘Teaching Data Journalism – Best Practices’ while the second is titled ‘Data Stories: Elections, Education, Shipping’.

Over 1,200 investigative journalists from 130 countries are attending the global conference which ends on November 19.

Khattak, a staff reporter at The News, Lahore, is an Alfred Friendly/Daniel Pearl fellow. He has previously worked for The Post and Daily Times.
