Information minister urges PBA to help media workers get outstanding salaries
Federal Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has reached out to the PBA for support in ensuring media workers receive their pending salaries. He emphasizes the need for collective responsibility in addressing these issues.

ISLAMABAD – Federal Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has called on the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) to immediately play its role in helping journalists and other workers get their outstanding salaries.

In a letter to PBA Chairman Mian Amir Mehmood, the minister pointed out that the welfare of media workers was the collective responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and media representative bodies like the PBA.

Fawad wrote that he had received a number of complaints from working journalists and media workers regarding non-payment of emoluments by employers, some of whom are renowned media houses.

The minister assured the PBA of his assistance in resolving the matter.
