CM Punjab approves Rs20m grant for Lahore Press Club
CM Punjab has sanctioned a Rs20 million grant for the Lahore Press Club to aid journalists. He also plans to advance the second phase of a journalist colony.

LAHORE—Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has approved a grant of Rs20 million for Lahore Press Club, Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.

During a meeting with club President Azam Chaudhry and Secretary-General of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Rana Muhammad Azeem, the CM promised to launch the second phase of the journalist colony. According to him, the proposal for constructing apartments for journalists was being reviewed.

He also announced to visit the journalist colony to distribute F Block possession letters. "The process of the welfare of the journalists will start from where it was left," he stated.

The CM directed the information secretary to release the grant.
