Musharraf show on BOL News? It's a hoax
A promo claiming former President Pervaiz Musharraf will host a show on BOL News has been exposed as false. This incident raises questions about BOL News's reputation.

ISLAMABAD: Former President General Pervaiz Musharraf is to start his own show on BOL News Television -. the promo is out but it turned out to be a hoax. The promo was everywhere on social media Friday. Intelligently and professionally done, it is apparently an attempt to malign BOL News, or perhaps a move to prove the channel’s alleged links with the establishment. “Pakistan’s most authentic name on Pakistan’s biggest news channel, Pervaiz Musharraf, nothing is hidden from him … the President Musharraf Show,” says the promo. It, however, does not say what kind of show it would be and how frequently it will be aired.

BOL News is to go on air on Ramadan 1.

KEY POINTS:

  • Promo for Musharraf show on BOL News is a hoax
  • Speculations about BOL News's links with the establishment
  • The actual content and frequency of the purported show are unknown
  • BOL News is scheduled to go on air on Ramadan 1
  • Social media spread the promo widely on Friday
