KP Sports Writers' Association honors players

PESHAWAR  - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Sports and Tourism Mahmood Khan Wednesday said no players will be deprived of their valid rights in the province and all efforts were being made to promote sports.

He was speaking at the 30th Annual Awards distribution ceremony organized by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Writers Association (KPSWA) at Peshawar Press Club. The minister added it was the PTI government’s aim to pay full attention to organizing sports mega events across the province to save the young generation from wrong doing and other social evils.


The KP Local Government Minister Inayat Ullah Khan, former Provincial Sports Minister Syed Aqil Shah, and AIPS Asia Secretary Amjad Aziz Malik were also present on the occasion.

Awards were given away to the best players of the year 2015. Gulnar Begam, Director Sports Post-Graduate Girls Degree College, Mardan was awarded the lifetime achievement award. Others honored were: Waqar Afridi, Muhammad Bilal Afridi, Sabiha Nisar, Hayat Ullah, Asfandyar, Qaiser Khan, Naimat Ullah, Ayesha Qamar, Majid Fasih, Sheema and Hamza.


 Earlier the provincial minister administered oath to the newly elected office-bearers of KPSWA.
