92 News reporter Maimoona Arif dies
Maimoona Arif, a dedicated reporter with Roznama 92 News, passed away at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. Her colleagues remember her as a hardworking and friendly person who contributed greatly to the journalism community.

ISLAMABAD - Maimoona Arif, a reporter with Roznama 92 News in Islamabad passed away Tuesday morning at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) following a brief illness.

She was hospitalized two days ago and was put on a ventilator by doctors who declared her brain dead.

Her journalist colleagues tell JournalismPakistan.com that her retina had begun responding early Tuesday, that provided a glimmer of hope. However, she died shortly afterward.

She was an active member of the National Press Club, Islamabad, and a hard-working journalist.

Her colleagues remember her as a friendly woman who would spend most of her time at the press club. They said she would be badly missed.

Afzal Butt, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), and Shakeel Anjum, President National Press Club and other journalist leaders said they had lost a great colleague.
