Veteran Nusrat Javeed's advice to younger generation

ISLAMABAD – One of Pakistan’s most senior journalists wants the younger generation to keep away from the profession of journalism.

Nusrat Javeed (pictured) was responding to a suggestion by Dilawar Asghar that he start teaching journalism in some public or private educational institution.

“Bhai after giving my whole life to journalism I am forced to say now that younger generation should stay away from this profession,” Javeed tweeted.

In November last year, Javeed was laid off by DawnNews Television that cited financial difficulties as the reason.

He appeared in the program Bol Bol Pakistan as an analyst.
