Veteran journalist Khalid Butt passes away

LAHORE—Lahore Resident Editor of Pakistan Observer Khalid Butt breathed his last Thursday evening. He had been unwell for several days.

Butt started his journalistic career at Pakistan Times and then worked for the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). He also served as general manager of public affairs, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

He also served as media manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and was twice advisor to chief minister Punjab on media.
