ISLAMABAD—Unknown hackers defaced the Twitter account of prominent journalist and vlogger Imran Riaz Khan.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, in a tweet, said: "Imran Riaz Khan has called to inform that his Twitter Account is hacked."
Khan's spouse also took to Twitter, stating: "Account of @imranriazkhan has been hacked, will update u all shortly when we will get its access back."
In a video message posted on YouTube, Khan confirmed that his Twitter account had been hacked. According to him, all messages or requests of any kind on his Twitter account should be ignored until the account is restored.
Khan, a host of a YouTube channel with more than three million subscribers and an anchor for the privately owned broadcaster Express News, is a core PTI supporter and a vocal critic of the current government. Last month, police detained him near Islamabad in response to various FIRs lodged in different police stations across the country. However, the Lahore High Court granted him bail.
