Target killer confesses murdering journalist Aftab Alam

KARACHI: A target killer accused of gunning down journalist Aftab Alam in Karachi last week has confessed he was assigned to do sectarian killings.

Acccording to dunynews.tv, the suspect named Zeeshan was arrested by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). During initial interrogation, he revealed there are three groups of target killers with each comprising three men.

He said that he conducted journalist Aftab Alam’s recce for three days and then killed him. He also confessed to killing two persons outside a bakery the same day, dunyanews.tv reported. On his information, another two of his accomplices were also arrested. More arrests are expected.
