Suspect in journalist Aftab Alam's murder arrested

KARACHI: Police are said to have arrested a suspect in the murder of journalist Aftab Alam (pictured), who was gunned down in Karachi on Wednesday.

Geo News Television, quoting a source, said initial investigation into the murder has been completed. Aftab Alam, remained associated with Geo News and also worked for Samaa. He was killed by unidentified gunmen outside his home in North Karachi. Mewanhile, police have not been able to make much progress in probing the attack on a Geo News van this week in which satellite engineer Arshad Ali Jaffery was killed.
