Supreme Court accepts ARY presenter Arshad Sharif's unconditional apology

ISLAMABAD – ARY News presenter Arshad Sharif who hosts the program Power Play on Thursday tendered an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
His apology was accepted by a three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.
The Supreme Court taking a sou motu notice had last month issued a show cause notice to Sharif for discussing sub-judice matters in his show aired on August 28.
In the program, an affidavit submitted by former President Asif Ali Zardari regarding his assets was discussed.
The lawyer for ARY News Faisal Chaudhry, PEMRA Chairman Saleem Beg and counsel for Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) were present in court.
