ISLAMABAD – Shaheen Sehbai, a former group editor of The News, has called for real scrutiny of media icons following the arrest last week of political analyst Dr. Shahid Masood.
In a tweet, he said that a probe of bloated media icons who lecture as sufis, reformers and thinkers must begin now. He suggested that overblown fake media must be cut down to size.
He said their assets, both at home and abroad should be checked and “see how elephants squeak like rats.”
